Editorial Board

AIC is led by an independent editorial board drawn from research institutions, universities and policy organizations across the Caribbean and beyond. The Caribbean AI Association funds the journal and appoints nobody to it.

Building the board for the inaugural edition: AIC is recruiting section editors, preprint moderators, a student section editor and reviewers ahead of the 14 September 2026 deadline. We particularly welcome scholars and practitioners based in the Caribbean, diaspora researchers, and specialists across machine learning, development economics, climate science, governance, health and data systems. Adrian Dunkley

Founding Editor-in-Chief, AIC

Adrian Dunkley is a Caribbean AI practitioner and researcher working across machine learning, data governance and applied AI strategy in the region. He established AIC to give Caribbean AI research a venue that treats the region as the subject rather than the case study, and he chairs the editorial decisions of the journal, the preprint server and the student section.

The Editor-in-Chief holds final responsibility for scope, editorial standards and every publication decision. Where he is an author on a submission, the manuscript is handled entirely by an independent section editor and he is excluded from the file, in line with the editorial policies.

On funding and independence. AIC is published and funded by the Caribbean Artificial Intelligence Association, which is why there are no fees in any track. The Association appoints no editors, sees no manuscript before publication, and holds no right of review over any decision. Editorial authority rests with the Editor-in-Chief and the board. Where a submission involves the Association or its officers, it is handled by a section editor with no connection to it and the fact is disclosed on publication.

Join Our Reviewer Pool

AIC maintains a pool of expert reviewers across machine learning, economics, climate science, health, governance and data systems. Reviewers are acknowledged in each edition, receive a verified record of their reviews, and join the regional research community the journal exists to build. We need reviewers in place before the 14 September 2026 deadline.
