Inaugural Edition

The first edition is open across all fifteen subject areas, with no single theme. Three tracks are accepting work at once: peer-reviewed articles, preprints, and student research from authors aged 13 and over. There are no fees in any of them.

AI Governance and Sovereignty

The third edition addresses who owns data, who governs the AI systems deployed in public institutions, and how Caribbean states build digital sovereignty. It brings together researchers working on AI policy, ethics, national strategy and data rights in small-state contexts.

Outside the Edition Schedule

Two Continuous Tracks

Not everything AIC publishes waits for an edition. The preprint server runs continuously, and the student section opens alongside each call.

AIC Preprints

A regional preprint server in the arXiv tradition. Submissions are screened for scope and scholarly form rather than peer reviewed, announced within two working days, versioned, and permanently citable. Rolling, with no deadline and no fee.

Student Researcher Section

A reviewed section for secondary school, sixth form and undergraduate authors aged 13 and over, working with a mentor. Every submission receives written reviewer feedback, whatever the decision. Closes 14 September 2026 for the inaugural edition.
